Transaction Advisory, Ai Training, Capital Raising
Deal experience and AI capability, working together.
Transaction Advisory and Support
Transactions are won and lost on the quality of execution. The analysis has to be right, the structure has to hold, and the process has to move at pace. I advise businesses and family offices on the full transaction lifecycle, from initial evaluation through to close — bringing the deal experience from 20 years across KPMG corporate finance and Praetura Ventures, alongside advanced AI capability that materially accelerates the quality and speed of the work.
This is not generic advisory. It is hands-on execution support from someone who has been on both sides of these deals, as the advisor structuring them and as the investor funding and governing the companies involved.
Typical work includes:
Buyside M&A — target evaluation, deal structuring, financial modelling, due diligence support
Buyside M&A — target evaluation, deal structuring, financial modelling, due diligence support
Sellside support — materials preparation, management of diligence processes, deal positionings
Valuation and financial modelling
Cross-border transaction complexity — overseas holding structures, jurisdictional issues, AI-assisted legal and tax analysis
Transaction strategy and capital allocation for boards and investment committees
Why this is different:
Most independent advisors bring either a corporate finance background or a capital markets background. Very few have both. I have spent 14 years at KPMG advising on transactions, and 7 years at Praetura sitting on the other side of the table, evaluating deals, funding companies, and governing what happens after the deal closes.
I also bring AI capability that changes what is possible on a transaction. Complex analysis that would take days can be turned around in hours. First drafts of client reports, financial models, and due diligence summaries are produced faster and refined more quickly. The combination of deep experience and AI execution is the differentiator.
→ High-value, high-complexity work delivered at the speed modern transactions require.
Ai Training for Enterprise
Most organisations have invested in AI tools such as Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT. Most are using 10 to 25% of what they have paid for. That is not a technology problem. It is a training problem.
This half-day session addresses it directly. The goal is not feature familiarity, it is a genuine shift in how your people think about and work with AI. That is the change that sticks, and the one that actually moves the dial on productivity.
I train from real daily usage across live consulting engagements, M&A advisory, and content creation. Every technique I teach I use myself. There is no theory that has not been validated in practice.
What participants leave with:
A repeatable prompting framework that improves output quality from day one
Practical persona design skills that get more relevant, more accurate responses
An understanding of how to architect complex tasks so AI handles them properly
A working Copilot agent built around a real use case from your business
Good data security habits embedded from the outset, calibrated to your policy
A mindset framework that applies to any tool — today's and tomorrow's
Format:
Half day, face to face, four to ten participants. Primary focus on Microsoft Copilot with awareness of ChatGPT and Claude for teams using multiple platforms. Pre-session briefing covers your data security policy and agrees the use case for the live agent build exercise. Bespoke training provided on request

Capital Raising Advisory
Capital raises fail for predictable reasons. The investor list is wrong. The materials are not investor-ready. The process is reactive rather than structured. Management teams spend months on a raise that should have taken weeks, or approach investors before they are genuinely ready.
I advise businesses on how to prepare, position, and execute capital raises to an institutional standard, drawing on experience of over £1 billion in transactions across equity, debt, and growth capital at KPMG and Praetura Ventures.
That experience sits on both sides. At KPMG I advised companies raising capital. At Praetura I evaluated and funded companies raising capital. I know what a convincing raise looks like from both perspectives and more importantly, I know where most raises fall down before they start.
Typical work includes:
Capital strategy and funding readiness assessment
Investor targeting — building a realistic, well-researched target list
Equity and debt fundraising execution
Pitch materials and investor narrative — transforming draft materials to investor-ready standard
Financial modelling, valuation, and deal structuring
Term sheet review and negotiation support
Preparation for investor due diligence
Taking a different approach:
For founders who want to run the process themselves, I also founded the Capital Raise Community, a platform that provides access to the same frameworks and process knowledge, structured as a self-guided programme.
→ Capital raising is a process, not an event. The ones who treat it that way get better outcomes.
